Let some of the madness begin…Part 1

Madness?? Could that be insanity or a Ska-rock band from the 80’s? LOL no…it is just it is that it is that time of year, when thoughts turn to is a 16th seed going to upset a number 1 seed in the NCAA’s [for those not in the states, this is the University version  of let’s say footy playoffs].

Yours truly had a chance to get in on a little bit of this madness by going to an open practice here for Gonzaga University for their game in the subregional yesterday. Yeppers, Portland was on the map for rounds 1 and 2 of this annual rite of spring….the first time such an event had been held in  this state in ages. The team looked relaxed…a cross bet business-like and ‘this is our house!!'[ which is an oxymoron of sorts seeing that the host college is the University of Oregon and the University of Washington has their people coming in from Seattle for the early first or second round should they …cough cough…win] The good news was, this was no different for me as a fan as it was going to a Renaissance concert all those years ago in NYC, due to how laid back the fans there were.

Oh yeah…got a few pics of the action and will post those sometime today…and this will be the first of a new set of material. The second set is going to show the upgrade of sorts in the look due to the contacts finally arriving. As I had mentioned to my crush the other night,  there is a comfort level in having certain items come together at the right time. Some of this makes me a little pissed at the fact that I did not do this earlier…but no reason not to push forward.

That is all for now….yeah I will get those pics of the Bulldogs having their practice yesterday this afternoon. I do feel sorry for the team they are playing….the University of Akron Zips. The only things that city is know for are Firestone Tires and DEVO.

About rheapdx1

Just another geekette from the Pacific Northwest. Windows computer tech, as well as the mom to 2 cats. My blog is more or less about life; the adventures in fixing PC's, the trips to the doctors....otherwise known as my 'gang of five who keep me alive', the cats...and thoughts about a particular person who I am deeply smitten with [if the person only knew how deep that goes *S*]. Otherwise, this is ordinary.
