Gosh darn it all…..the weatherman did not cooperate and we got another rainout here. It is almost as though the poem ’Game Called’ [which was featured in the Ken Burns documentary ‘Baseball’] has been the primary mantra of the past 72 hours or so. But darn it all we do not have the option of making it up as a Twi-night Doubleheader [yes those still happen folks….and they are pretty cool when they do]
I am still working on getting those pics done for my crush, a fter all they were promised. For those who have been following along and know a little more about yours truly than what I let on here, I have a deep feeling for the person I have mentioned on my other blog as well as through the FLickr page. It is not something that is a passing fancy or something along the lines of ‘let’s romp and do it in the road’. While it may sound old fashioned to say this…there are very few times in this life that one is lucky enough to find that person [or before this in several cases here…a cat] who one is about as close to being a perfect match as possible. And yeah as one gets older, those chances to do so become even fewer. One of the other little problems that happens over time….
If there is a level of perplexment it is in that the pics and other things go towards saying that yours truly is not like many other folks out there. No, this is not ego stroking….if it were even my cats would leave me.It is there are some issues about what could best be called ‘social expectations’ which in a society more concerned with 8 second sound bites and who is going to be the next idol and if one does not go to those lowest common denominators, there is the strong possiblity of travelling through this journey sans what would make them whole. Anyone who does know yours truly through here or through other means know while I may come off like a professor, that is just me. No airs in that either. Now where does this go back or lead to? Well that is simple…I do love this person [again names will not be used…you have to look at the previously posted blog links to check that out] as much as anyone can be loved…distances and other things taken into consideration; would be willing to do anything to make this party happy. Plus even my oldest cat who knows me the best has given her blessing. If Rachel [the momcat] thinks along those lines [and those hazel eyes of hers do not lie] there has to be something here.
Well folks, there you have it….If the rain clears, those pics will be done, they will be over at Flickr and here. One has to hope that after all that has gone on illness and otherwise that when one comes out of it and the tunnel has a little light at its end that the good is about to become commonplace. As eternally happy that would make me, I would like to make that one person eternally happy as well.
