A Minor request for some civility

Hey folks,

I am going to divert a little from the usual upbeat tone [as it were] of the blog to make a rather, simple plea for some decency out there. Reason being has to do with the current level of viciousness that has come out of the woodwork recently, with the Miss USA pageant  being one of the flashpoints.

While yours truly has been known for using some rather colourfull metaphors while wathing a ballgame [like how some *&^%$ umpire blew a ground-rule double call, turning it into a 2 run homer  during the Indians-Yankees game this past Saturday] or the news, using some rather crude, borish and just pain indefensible terms to describe MS California was just way below the bottom of the ocean. She has as much right to her freedom of speech as the internet columnist/blogger who lambasted her for her views on gay marriage. And while I am not crazy about her response, she spoke her mind..which is something that we seem to take for granted here in the US. As such I will defend her right to say it….currently we do not have any laws against the first ammendment, although ‘speech codes’ on colleges are trying to do that.

To that internet blogger [whose name I will not mention because well he has had more than enough airtime defaming this contestant] …just these words: Silencio, basta, cierran la boca, por favor. Yes I know your background so these words apply.

[I will return to the regularly scheduled program in a couple days. Oh yeah for that dear friend of mine who is reading this…there are now three versions being planned of that little little presentation …and they will all be posted…but LOL that is all I can say. After all that would spoil the surprise, wouldn’t it???*S*]

About rheapdx1

Just another geekette from the Pacific Northwest. Windows computer tech, as well as the mom to 2 cats. My blog is more or less about life; the adventures in fixing PC's, the trips to the doctors....otherwise known as my 'gang of five who keep me alive', the cats...and thoughts about a particular person who I am deeply smitten with [if the person only knew how deep that goes *S*]. Otherwise, this is ordinary.
