Dodged a couple major bullets here….

One has to like it when a new month starts and it is a darn sight better than the previous. In the case here, that is what happened in that, the little ugly flareup that happened with the feet and other joints has cleared up. Whoever said Tylenol and rest do not work effectively to arrest certain conditions probably got their medical degree from a cracker-jack box.

The really good news in all of this came about as the result of a bloodtest. As those of you who read this know. those are laughingly referred to as ‘oil changes’ [if you have been through what I have in the past couple years, you would have developed a rather interesting and twisted sense of humor about all the trips to the docs and the procedures one goes under] and the latest had a few surprises. For one, some of the numbers were high for a level 3 CKD. Scared the daylights out of me until one of the docs mentioned that while high, they are still level 3. Which brought up the second part of this, even though the past few weeks were painful….things did not get worse. Another bullet dodged and whoever is trying to sink me is going to have ‘buy a bigger gun cause I’m not dead yet!’ [Yes that is a lyric from a song by Styx]. Oh yes, there was another gift out of this was to be placed on a new med. ‘Uloric’ which is not something that came from the mind of Peter Lorre, but is supposed to actually be easier on the kidneys. Well…maybe, I will know in two weeks when another oil change comes down.

About rheapdx1

Just another geekette from the Pacific Northwest. Windows computer tech, as well as the mom to 2 cats. My blog is more or less about life; the adventures in fixing PC's, the trips to the doctors....otherwise known as my 'gang of five who keep me alive', the cats...and thoughts about a particular person who I am deeply smitten with [if the person only knew how deep that goes *S*]. Otherwise, this is ordinary.
