A new season starts and the cats are ticked

If you are wondering why this post has a pic of Marissa and Rachel at the top of it, this is due to the fact I have to make up to them what happened earlier today as the NFL season opened up. And this has to do with the third team the kitties follow….

Yes as has been mentioned in other corners [and letters to my crush] the cats actually like watching football. As such, they were jumping on the bed very early with the expression of ‘Mom turn the game on…turn the game on!!’. Which I did and yes it was the Bengals vs. the Patriots, led by Tom Brady and Dr. Evil. Yes their coach in some corners is referred to as ‘Dr. Evil’ because he uses tactics for winning games that would best be associated with sandlot ball. Rachel and Marissa were enthusiastic until it became apparent that the Bengals were going to drop this one. Bigtime. Thankfully and mercifully, the CBS station here was switched to a more exiting game. That being the Dolphins and the Bills from Buffalo.  Which was more exciting than the disaster at Gillette Field in New England.

However, what was more encouraging was the fact that the kitties like the game. Being cats, they are still as innocent about this as many kids were at PGE Park last weekend [See ‘The Subject Was Baseball’ post]. They do not give a darn about salaries, who is getting traded to whom, etc. More or less, they are into this for the love of the game. That is way cool…..kind of a little lesson for those of us who claim to be mature, by virtue of being human.

Well that is it for now…there is another one that should be coming up in a couple days after the results of the latest oilchange. This one was requested by Dr. Nick to check the levels again etc. Have to do this…after all being vertical does beat the alternative.

That is it for now….and enjoy the colourcast as the pics fly through the air…..

About rheapdx1

Just another geekette from the Pacific Northwest. Windows computer tech, as well as the mom to 2 cats. My blog is more or less about life; the adventures in fixing PC's, the trips to the doctors....otherwise known as my 'gang of five who keep me alive', the cats...and thoughts about a particular person who I am deeply smitten with [if the person only knew how deep that goes *S*]. Otherwise, this is ordinary.
