If you are wondering what the title means, it has to do with the fact that as this is being written, the countdown to not having the heart monitor on is in process. YAY…no longer wired for sound, no longer have worry about Marty, my youngest going around with the look of ‘mom you have a little toy around your neck, can I play please, please, pretty please?’ Of course the senior partner has had this view of ‘Mom…does it have to sound like a fax machine?’ But this will be done soon enough. 30 Days….give or take 1.
As had been communicated to others, including my crush [who has been getting daily updates on what is going on here…she along with the cats get the details in full living colour] that this had to be done because this owner of an only heart has one which is not acting as it should. Unlike that of ‘The Grinch’ it is the right size. Just that either due to genetics, wear and tear over the years or through just plain bad luck it has been acting up recently, more so than in the past. I will not go into all of the details that the tests have shown it has gone through….suffice it to say that the size of the medical history is half the height of the smallest Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner.
But with all of the above posted….YAY it will be done. The next move of course will be up to Steve, my cardio. I figure that if the Iowa Hawkeyes do get to a good bowl game, then the news will be good. If not…but hey I am only kidding *S*. I know that my brother from a midwest mother will make sure I have a few hundred thousand more beats left here LOL.
There was one really cool surprise that showed up in the mail the other day which made me wish that my crush was here. It was a copy of an old concert by Renaissance, with their classic lineup from 1977 or so. WOW this was a major blast from the past, but it also brought home why I was into this band back then…late in highschool and from then on. To see Annie, Mickey, Jon, John and Terry doing their thing, with a more upclose view than at other times [the concert in this case was from the ‘Sight and Sound’ series produced by the BBC] made the recent expenditures on a new PC monitor and speakers [not rich here folks, I am a cheapskate who knows patience is a virtue when it comes down to gear….be it computer parts or digital cameras or film or hair accessories] worth every penny. The setlist is very close to a CD I have which has made the rounds of one of the online groups I am in for Ren…but this means a little more because of the visual.
What I would love to see is one day the crush to ahve on her face the same expression on her face that my oldest cat did the other night as we were watching the disc. Rachel had this expression on her face of WOW…as the song ‘Carpet of the Sun’ was playing. Her eyes and ears were engaged in rapt attention to the screen, from her perch atop the couch. Now perhaps I have raised my cats right, but then again too…they may be mirroring my love of certain types of music. After all, they dig Charlie ‘Yardbird’ Parker as well, among other styles and genres so that does say a lot. But it would be really worth everything if the one I am smitten with were here to share this…maybe one of these days….
So that is the news, sports, weather for now. And from the country that brought you the colortini….enjoy the colourcast as the pics fly through the air.
